Melissa Kraft

Melissa joined the Rochester basketball staff over the summer after working as an assistant coach at three schools in the past four years.  Kraft coached at Vassar College from 2009-2011.  In the 2010-11 season, she helped guide the Brewers into the NCAA Division III playoffs.  Vassar's staff was named the Liberty League coaching staff of the year.  Kraft coached two First Team All-Liberty League players in 2010-11, two First Team players in 2009-10, and two First Team All-Rookie players in 2010-11.

Before joining the Vassar staff in 2009, she worked for one season as an assistant coach at SUNY Plattsburgh.

Kraft graduated from Drew University in 2007 with a baccalaureate degree in history.  She played basketball and softball for the Rangers, earning MAC All-Freedom Conference honors in both sports for multiple years.  She won Drew's Female Athlete of the Year award in 2007.  She served as an assistant coach at Drew for one season while also serving as head varsity softball coach at St. Joseph Hill Academy.  In 2009, Kraft was honored by Drew as a member of its Athletic Hall of Fame Team of Distinction (the Rangers won the ECAC basketball championship in her freshman year.)
