Lewis enters her second season as an assistant coach with the University of Rochester women’s basketball program in 2023-24
She joined the Yellowjackets from the School of the Arts in Rochester, NY, where she served as the head varsity coach for three years. Over three seasons with the Silver Hawks, Lewis led the SOTA to a pair of sectional appearances, earning Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) Coach of the Year honors in 2019.
Prior to joining the Silver Hawks, Lewis began her coaching career and spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, NY from 2013-19, helping the Monarchs to sectional titles in both 2016 and 2017.
A 2013 graduate of SUNY Geneseo, Lewis was a four-year member of the Knights women’s basketball program, serving as a team captain her senior year. While in 2010-11, Lewis helped SUNY Geneseo to a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) title and an NCAA Tournament appearance. While at Geneseo she was a member of the Black Student Union and was a part of the Geneseo Opportunities for Leadership Development program, where she earned a Bronze Certificate.
Lewis earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo in Geneseo, NY in sociology in May 2013, and her master’s degree in social work from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN in Nov. 2020.
