Gracie Giannettino joins the University of Rochester women’s lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach following four years as a member of the women’s lacrosse program.
One of the most prolific offensive threats in program history, Giannettino appeared in and started 62 games over four seasons with the Yellowjackets, tallying 144 goals and 76 assists on 288 shots, notching 15 draw controls and six game-winning goals while adding 59 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers defensively.
A two-year team captain, Giannettino became just the third student-athlete in program history to reach 200 career points, and graduates tied for the program record with 76 career assists, as well as second in program history in points (220), third in free-position goals (34), four in points per game (3.55) and shots on goal (234), tied for fourth in goals (144), fifth in shots (288) and tied for seventh in game-winning goals (6).
During her career, Giannettino was also named the IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week and the Liberty League Performer of the Week as a junior, and the Liberty League Rookie of the Week as a first-year.
Off the field, Giannettino is a three-time Liberty League All-Academic recipient and a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, and was named one of UR’s Lysle ‘Spike’ Garnish Scholar-Athletes in the Fall of 2024.
During her time on the River Campus, Giannettino also spent four years as an assistant lacrosse coach with the Upstate Lacrosse Association in Auburn, NY, teaching fundamental lacrosse skills, leading drills and coordinating with other coaches to create practice plans.
A 2025 graduate of the University of Rochester, Giannettino graduated with her bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester in political science and environmental studies in May 2025.
