University of Rochester Athletics

A native of Seneca Falls, NY, Tompkins joined the University of Rochester staff in the summer of 2017 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Tompkins was a 3-year starting defender for head coach Sue Behme at Nazareth College. She was a team captain her senior year and led the team in both caused turnovers and ground balls in 2005 and 2006. Tompkins assisted the defense that ranked second nationally with 5.65 goals per game. She earned Empire 8 1st Team All-Conference honors in 2005 and 2nd Team honors in 2006. She was a member of two Empire 8 Championship teams and reached the NCAA Tournament three times during her time at Nazareth. Tompkins also was on the Empire 8 Presidents’ List for multiple semesters.

Tompkins graduated from Nazareth College with a bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Specialization in Marketing. She works as a Client Relationship Account Manager for the Retirement Services department at Paychex, INC.
