Kleiman enters her first season as an assistant coach with the University of Rochester women’s rowing program, having come to the River Campus after spending the last two years as an assistant coach at Santa Clara University.
Over two seasons with the Broncos, Kleiman helped coach Santa Clara’s Novice 4 to back-to-back top-three finishes at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships, taking the top spot in 2025 and finishing second in 2026.
In addition, Kleiman also coached the Broncos’ Novice 8 to the program’s first-ever win at the Head of the American River in Gold River, CA, and helped coach Santa Clara’s Varsity 8 boat to its fastest recorded performance in 20 years.
Prior to entering the coaching ranks, Kleiman spent eight years in higher education, working as an Assistant Director of Admissions at her alma mater, the University of Tampa, as well as the Director of K12 Partnerships and a Regional Vice President at Axion Learning in Los Altos, CA.
A 2017 graduate of the University of Tampa, Kleiman was a four-year member of the Spartans women’s rowing program, serving as a team captain for two seasons and earning all-conference honors.
Kleiman was also a member of the Los Gatos Rowing Club, competing as a master rower for three years.
Kleiman earned her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from the University of Tampa in 2017.
