Sike Dardaganis

Thomas "Sike" Dardaganis was promoted to the position of head coach of the University of Rochester women's soccer team at the end of the 2010 season after he spent 14 seasons as Assistant Coach for his alma mater under Terry Gurnett.

Since taking over the program, Dardaganis has a cumulative record of 61-71-23 (.468), consistently playing one of the toughest schedules in NCAA Division III every year.  He has coached a total of 26 players to 40  All-UAA honors, including 1st Team selections Ellen Coleman (2011), Bridget Lang (2012), Jessica Smith (2013), Kim Stagg (2014), Shayna Levy (2018) and Carolyn Richards (2019)

Last year, Rochester finished with a 9-6-2 record, compiling a strong resume which consisted over a win against #1 ranked William Smith and a draw against #11 Chicago. UR also had five players named All-UAA and two All-Region selections.

In 2018, Dardaganis guided Rochester to its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2010, earning a pool C (at-large) berth to the postseason thanks to a 9-7-1 record in the regular season.  UR dropped a close first round contest to Ithaca College 1-0.  

In 2016, the Yellowjackets posted wins wins over eventual national champion #12 Washington-St. Louis, #17 Brandeis and drew even with #18 Ithaca.

His teams also have excelled in the classroom, earning the NSCAA's Team Academic Award multiple times under his guidance.

Sike has been very active in the Rochester soccer community since 1992. He currently coaches with the Rochester Jr. Rhinos youth club. In 2002, he helped lead the U-15 boys to the United States Youth Soccer Association National Championship. In 2003-2005, he coached the U-17/18 girls to the Region 1 tournament championships and captured the Jefferson Cup Title in 2004.

Upon graduating from the University, he attended law school and earned his Juris-Doctorate at Albany Law School. Admitted to the practice of law in New York in 1997, he presently operates his law office in downtown Rochester.
