Joelle Hopf

Joelle joined the Yellowjacket swimming and diving staff in August, 2010. She came to the River Campus from Ithaca College where she earned her Masters of Science degree in Sport Management and served as one of Ithaca’s assistant coaches. As an undergraduate she attended SUNY New Paltz, earning her B.S. in Business Management and her B.A. in Art History. Hopf swam for SUNY New Paltz all four years where she was a Scholar-Athlete, a team captain, CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention, conference All-Academic Athlete and current team record holder and SUNYAC conference record holder in the 200 breaststroke.

Her coaching resume in 2010 also includes working as a Total Immersion Instructor, an Assistant for Nike Peak Performance Camps (She spent the summer of 2010 traveling nationally, giving camps and clinics) and as an Assistant Coach for Hawks Assoc. in New Paltz, NY. In the summer of 2011 she worked with Hartwick College, University of Rochester and SUNY New Paltz as a coach for their respective swim camps.  In Joelle’s third year at the University of Rochester, she has taken on the responsibility as the full time assistant coach, taking on the coaching of the short axis strokes, scheduling of recruiting visits, planning the dryland program and meet management.
