University of Rochester Athletics

Katie Bates joins the Rochester volleyball coaching staff after a successful four year playing career at Hendrix College where she was a four year letter winner and team captain for the 2012 season.
 
Off the court, Bates earned her Bachelors degree from Hendrix in Psychology with a minor in Kinesiology.
 
Bates’ volleyball coaching experience includes assisting with the Fatchmo Volley Club team where she worked with 11U, 13U and 14U girls on the basic and advanced skills of the sport.  There she was mentored by the Division I Head Coach from the University of Central Arkansas.  She also has worked as a summer camp instructor for Concordia University from 2009-2012.
