University of Rochester Athletics

Scott Sabocheck joined the UR Athletic Communications staff in 2011 as an Assistant Director before being promoted to Director of Athletic Communications in the summer of 2022. 

In his role, he is in charge of maintaining the Athletic Communications staff while overseeing communications efforts of varsity contests. This includes compiling game day statistics, assisting with webstream efforts and overall management of the game. 

Sabocheck is also key contributor to the athletics website at www.uofrathletics.com and assists in management of the departments social networking pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  Scott also creates game programs, record books, media guides and web graphics for the department.

Additionally, Sabocheck works in conjunction with other departments on campus to provide athletics information, including advancement, marketing and overall campus communications.

Scott came to the University of Rochester after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management in 2011 from St. John Fisher College (now University) in Rochester, NY.

Before working at UR, Sabocheck worked as the Sports Information contact for the Rochester Razorsharks and has spent time working at Rochester Red Wings games as a baseball scorer for Baseball Info Solutions.

He currently resides in Rochester with his wife Lindsey, son Parker, and daughter Madison.
