The Yellowjackets evened their UCAA record at 2-2 with a 4-1 victory over Vassar College at Edwin Fauver Stadium.
Mary DiMatteo scored two goals. Shawnessy Dusseau and Jessica Cassavaugh netted one apiece to lead the way.
Pam Sheffield made six saves, five in the second half, to get the win.
DiMatteo scored twice in a span of 12 minutes midway through the first half. She opened the scoring at 8:42, taking a pass from Heidi Davies and steering it into the cage from right wing.
At 20:15, she pushed an eight-yard shot under the dive of Vassar goaltender Sharla Alegria and it trickled over the line.
Dusseau boosted the lead to 3-0 through steady pressure. The Yellowjackets attacked and as Vassar broke up the play, Revay Wilson stole the ball in the center of the box. She slid a pass to Dusseau on left wing and the senior scored from six yards out.
Cassavaugh completed Rochester's scoring at 34:45 when she fired a 15-yarder from straight on after Kristy Johnson pushed out from the center of the box.
Vassar broke into the scoring column at 48:01. Kaitlin Harvie fed a pass to Maureen Kenealy who whipped it inside the right post.
Each team hit the post once in the second half.
Rochester outshot the Brewers, 20-10.
Kenealy contributed at both ends, recording the Brewer goal and kicking a Rochester shot off the line in the dying minutes.
Rochester is 6-6 overall, 2-2 in the UCAA. The Yellowjackets will host RPI on Sunday, Oct. 12, at noon.
Vassar is 3-10 overall, 1-4 in the UCAA.
