ROCHESTER, NY (Oct. 19) – Jenica Schmidt scored late in the game to lift the Yellowjackets over the 15th ranked Eagles.
Rochester out shot their University Athletic Association rivals 21 to 3. The victors' goal came at 78:43 when Schmidt headed the ball into the net off a Karen Forsythe corner kick.
Adrianne Hulchanski made two saves to earn her sixth shutout of the season. Amy Franciscovich had eight saves for Emory.
With the win, the Yellowjackets improve to 7-5-1 over all and 2-2-0 in the UAA. The Eagles are now 11-4-0, 2-2-0 in the UAA.
Rochester will face cross-town rival Nazareth College this Wednesday at 7pm at Fauver Stadium.
