ONEONTA, NY (Oct. 4) - SUNY Oneonta scored midway through the first half and held on for a 1-0 win over the Yellowjacket field hockey team.
The Yellowjackets applied their biggest offensive push in the first half by dominating play in the Oneonta end of the field.
Penalty corners led to a pair of good shots by Kaitlin Poeth and Erin Charnow, but the Yellowjackets couldn't dent the back of the net.
Pam Sheffield made eight saves, seven in the second half, for the Yellowjackets.
Rochester is 4-5. Oneonta is 6-5.
