The women's soccer team grabbed its ninth win of the season with a 3-0 victory at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday afternoon.
Angela Heaney, Kate Possee, and Mary Walsh scored the Yellowjacket goals. Adrianne Hulchanski played the first half in goal and was not required to make a save. Molly Leitch played the second half between the posts. She made one save.
Heaney broke a 0-0 deadlock at 27:56. Possee doubled the lead early in the second half, finding the back of the net at 52:38. Walsh completed the scoring at 79:59.
Rochester outshot the Red Hawks, 26-7 overall, 14-1 in shots on goal. RPI goalkeeper Jackie Gabriele made 11 saves.
The Yellowjackets are 9-3-3 overall. RPI is 1-11-1.
