Nate Micklos set up the first goal and scored the second as the men's soccer team defeated RIT, 3-0, in Henrietta Tuesday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets improved to 9-2 overall. It was Rochester's second straight shutout after back to back losses at Roberts Wesleyan and Ithaca nearly two weeks ago.
Ben Cross, who had a goal last Saturday night in the 2-0 UAA win over Brandeis, scored his fifth of the season at 13:10, assisted by Micklos.
The match was barely 26 minutes old when Micklos scored his 11th of the campaign. Steve Maltzman tallied the third goal, just 1:15 into the second half.
Rochester outshot the Tigers, 13-4. Jack Burgasser played the first 82:41 in the nets and made one save. He was replaced by Aaron Bernstein who did not have to make a save in his 7:19.
RIT is 5-4-1 overall.
