Gary Stom had a goal and assist in the first 25 minutes to lead fifth-ranked Rochester to a 4-1 victory over Hobart College at Edwin Fauver Stadium.

The Yellowjackets improved to 7-0 overall. Hobart, which had a two-game winning streak snapped, is 2-4.

Ben Cross, Nate Micklos, and Tyler Green scored the other Rochester goals.

Chris Rogers scored for the Statesmen. His goal – at 75:33 – snapped a run of five straight shutouts by the Yellowjackets.

Cross opened the scoring at 9:25 when he ran at Hobart keeper Ben Polk to score from short range after Stom chipped a pass over the defense.

Stom made it 2-0 at 24:01. Fullback Jeff White drove a long ball down the left sideline. Polk charged off the line to get it. Stom got there first and slid the ball past the onrushing Polk into the open net.

Micklos scored his 10th of the season at 46:42, assisted by Eric Meister. He has scored in each of Rochester's seven games.

The Statesmen pulled one back at 75:33. A long ball was played from midfield. It bounced off several Rochester players and rolled to Rogers at the edge of the crease. He slid it into the net.

Green answered 63 seconds later on a eight-yard header after a free kick by Brian Tuohy.

Polk made one save for Hobart. Jack Burgasser made one save and allowed the one goal in 80 minutes. Aaron Bernstein played the final 10 minutes without facing a shot.
