Down, 2-0, early in the second half, the field hockey team rallied with three straight goals for a 3-2 victory over Houghton College.
Mary DiMatteo scored with 7:22 left to cap a 3-0 run and give the Yellowjackets their eighth victory of the season. Rochester is 8-5 overall. Houghton is 4-4.
The Highlanders built a 2-0 lead on goals from Stacy Garber and Kelly Mazzeo after 37 minutes. Rochester answered immediately with Celi Fletcher setting up Revay Wilson for the first Yellowjacket goal at 37:44.
Krista Butler tied the score at 2-2 when she tallied at 51:44 and DiMatteo netted the gamewinner nearly 11 minutes later.
Rachel Cahan had 10 saves to pick up the win. Erin Frederick had seven saves for Houghton. The Highlanders held a 26-12 shot advantage, 17-10 on goal. Rochester's defense had five defensive saves.
