The men's cross country team has a chance to run on the national course when the Yellowjackets compete at Ohio Wesleyan University on Friday.

OWU, which will host the NCAA Division III National Championship on November 19, will hold an 'Open' division race Friday following the All-Ohio Championships.

Rochester will have a hand in determining which teams compete in Ohio in November. The Yellowjackets will host the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship on November 12 at Genesee Valley Park.

The 'Jackets placed sixth in the team Pre-Nationals race. Out of 353 runners, Mark Stevens Pittsford, NY/Pittsford Sutherland) finished second in 26:27; Andrew Whitbeck (East Rochester, NY/East Rochester) finished 43rd in 27:50; Dan Mueller (Lakewood, NY/Southwestern) finished 49th in 27:58; Kevin McGettrick (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) finished 70th in 28:17; Joseph Lust (Winston Salem, NC/Forsyth Country Day) finished 71st in 28:18; Tom Brekke (Bozeman, MT/Bozeman) finished 98th in 28:40; and Dan Chebot (Newton, MA/Newton North)finished 124th in 29:01.
