ITHACA - Sophomore guard Megan Krebbeks posted career highs of 16 points and eight rebounds to lead the University of Rochester to a 65-59 victory in overtime over Ithaca College here tonight.
Ashley Latimer scored 12 points for UR and Kelly Wescott added 11, hitting 9 of 10 from the foul line.
Stephanie Cleary led the Bombers with 27 points. She made 11 of 12 free throws and recorded six steals.
Rochester won its fourth straight game. The Yellowjackets are 12-8. Ithaca is 13-7. The Bombers are ranked sixth in the NCAA Division III East Region poll.
Cleary tied the game with two free throws with 22 seconds left in regulation. Rochester held Ithaca to one field goal over a 10-minute span during the second half and overtime.
Krebbeks hit 4 of 6 floor shots, 8 of 10 from the line in 28 minutes off the bench. She also had two assists, two blocked shots and one steal.
UR held a commanding 46-26 advantage on the backboards, led by Wescott and Krebbeks with eight boards each. The Yellowjackets turned the ball voer 31 times and Ithaca recorded 20 steals.
