UTCIA, NY - Utica College, ranked 20th in Division III, rolled to a 5-1 field hockey victory over Rochester in central New York State on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts broke it open by scoring three times in a span of just over eight minutes in the first half. Utica had a 3-0 halftime lead and built to to 5-0 before the second period reached the halfway point. Utica is 4-2 overall.
Revay Wilson scored Rochester's goal at 60:18. It was her second goal this week. Wilson netted the only goal of the match in a 1-0 midweek win at Nazareth.
Rachel Cahan made a dozen saves. Robin Levy made two saves. Utica held a 24-9 advantage in shots.
Rochester is 3-3. All three losses have come against teams in the top 20.
