The women's soccer team opened its home campaign with a 3-0 victory over Oswego at Fauver Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.
Freshman Kelsey Turley set up the first goal and scored the third. Mary Walsh notched her fourth of the year and Emily Urbanczyk netted her third of the season.
Rochester, ranked number 16 in this week's Division III poll, is 5-1-1. Oswego is 4-4.
Walsh opened the scoring before the match was nine minutes old. Turley pushed a through ball into the box and Walsh volleyed it into the center of the net from 10 yards away at 8:41.
Midway through the half, the Yellowjackets doubled the lead. Kate Possee chased down a ball on left wing. She hit a hard center into the middle of the box for the onrushing Urbanczyk to touch under the dive of Oswego goalkeeper Ashlee Distin at 26:08.
Turley completed the scoring at 79:51, scoring after a free kick by Amy Thompson.
Rochester outshot the Lakers, 11-0. Adrianne Hulchanski played the first 45 minutes in goal. Molly Leitch started the second half. She was replaced with eight minutes to play by Kate Levy.
