ATLANTA - First half goals by Mary Walsh and Darby Grant carried the women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Emory University.
Molly Leitch made four saves to pick up the victory in goal. A steady rain fell throughout the match. Emory goalkeeper Amy Franciscovich made six saves.
Rochester held a 12-7 edge in shots, 5-1 in the first half. Each team had one corner kick.
Walsh opened the scoring at 17:45. Grant made it 2-0 at 41:47. Emory's Kerri Lydon pulled a goal back for the Eagles at 53:38.
Rochester improved to 12-1-3 overall. The Yellowjackets are 3-1-1 in the UAA. Emory is 8-5-2 overall.
