Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women Blank Fisher

Tammy Brewster scored twice and the Yellowjackets got single goals from Laura Morrison and Mary Walsh to defeat visiting St. John Fisher, 4-0, at Fauver Stadium.

Brewster broke up a scoreless tie with eight seconds to play in the first half. She closed the scoring with just over 20 minutes to play, knocking home a goal after passes from Ali Streeter and Maureen Dudiak.

Morrison helped break the game wide open early in the second half. In the span of less than three minutes, she assisted on the second goal, then scored the third.

She looped a pass down the left side. Walsh caught up with it and hit a dipping shot over Fisher keeper Stacey Gable who had charged off the line to cut down the angle. The ball dipped just under the crossbar at 49:31 for a 2-0 lead.

At 52:28, Emily Urbanczyk cut into the box on the right side, then cut the ball back to Morrison at the top of the area, just to the left of the penalty arc. She drove the ball just under the crossbar for a 3-0 lead.

Brewster's first goal came at 44:52. Erin Carballo collected a loose ball outside the box on the right side. She chipped it into the goalmouth and Brewster headed it across the face of the goal into the left side netting, just before Gable could get to the pass.

At 69:58, Brewster notched her second goal, this one against substitute goalkeeper Ashley Martin. Dudiak played a crossfield ball from left wing to Streeter at the right of the arc. She touched it to Brewster on the left and Brewster headed it home.

Molly Leitch played the first 74:03 and made two saves. She was replaced by Joy Sadaly for the last 15:57. Sadaly had one save.

Gable made three saves in 59:54. Martin had one save in 30:06.

Rochester is 3-0-1. Fisher is 3-1.
