William Smith's Sophie Dennis assisted on the opener at 4:12 (scored by Brittany Paye), then scored the second goal, an unassisted tally, at 27:22.
Rochester's Rachel Cahan made 12 saves and senior defender Heidi Davies had a pair of defensive saves. For William Smith, Katie DeKraker had four saves and two players - Charlotte Styer and Skylar Beaver - had one defensive save apiece.
The Yellowjackets were outshot, 21-8. William Smith had 14 penalty corners to Rochester's six. Cahan made nine of her 12 stops in the second half.
