Field Hockey tops Hartwick



Revay Wilson had a goal and an assist to lead the Yellowjackets to a 4-1 field hockey win over Hartwick College.

Krista Butler, Kari Plewniak, and Mary DiMatteo scored the other Yellowjacket goals. Celi Fletcher and Lara Bucarey had assists. Rochester improved to 5-4 overall.

Jen Ryan scored the Hartwick goal. The Hawks are 3-6-1 with two of the losses in overtime.

Bucarey set up Wilson at 17:00 for 1 -0 lead. Wilson turned feeder three minutes later, finding Butler for a 2-0 advantage. Ryan's goal at 21:03 cut the Rochester lead to 2-1. DiMatteo pushed the lead back to two goals when she scored at 22:47. It was 3-1 at the break.

Fletcher took a pass from a penalty corner for Plewniak to drive home at 42:06 for the final margin.

Rachel Cahan made four saves in goal for Rochester, three in the second half. Ashley King made three saves in the first 35 minutes for Hartwick. Emily McLean made six saves in the second 35 minutes.
