Rochester stepped up its pressure in the final 10 minutes of regulation and the first sudden death period, but couldn't get the tiebreaking goal.
The Yellowjackets took a 1-0 lead at 18:39. Laura Bojko swung a corner kick into the center of a packed goalmouth and Ali Streeter steered it into the net for her third goal of the year. With less than 13 minutes left in the half, another Bojko corner kick found Streeter again - this time for a point blank header that was punched over the bar for a corner. In all, the Yellowjackets had 11 corner kicks.
Carnegie broke through for the tying goal off a corner kick. Amanda Rose played the ball out of the right side past the back post. Darah DeWath ran onto it and chipped it under the crossbar to settle in the right side netting at 79:35.
With 9:10 to play, Streeter unleashed a 40-yard liner from the left flank. The ball was punched into the underside of the crossbar by CMU goalkeeper Anya Rosen. She smothered the rebound. Less than two minutes later, Streeter headed a corner kick into the left post.
In the first overtime, Bojko chipped pass to Tammy Brewster in the center of the box. Brewster's shot got past Rosen but Rose blocked it a foot off the line. With 4:25 left, Bridgette Varin outworked a defender on the right flank and centered the ball past Rosen. Streeter was running hard to the back post but couldn't get a head on it.
The Yellowjackets are 7-3-1 overall, 2-0-1 in the UAA. CMU is 6-4-2 overall, 1-1-1 in the UAA.
