It is Rochester's second victory over a Top 10 team in the last eight calendar days. Rochester defeated then-#9 NYU, 1-0, on October 6. The Yellowjackets have won seven straight games. Rochester is 10-2-1 overall, 4-0-0 in the University Athletic Association and sits in first place alone.

Emory is 12-2-0 overall, 3-1-0 in the UAA. The only other loss for Emory this season came against Clayton State (MO), a Division II team. Emory defeated seventh-ranked Case Western Reserve, 2-1, in Cleveland on Friday night and entered today's match tied with Rochester for first place in the standings.

Michael Peacock made two saves to pick up the win for Rochester. He has four shutouts this year, three in a row (NYU, Carnegie Mellon, Emory). Keith Meehan made three saves in goal for Emory.

Rochester had three good chances to snap the 0-0 tie in the second overtime period. With 6:09 left, a corner kick by Nick Mikolenko was headed just wide of the left post by Dominic Pellingra. Just over a minute later, the Yellowjackets fed Steve Welles who swept towards goal from right wing. His low shot for the near post was blocked by Meehan. It slammed against the right post, then over the end line for a corner kick.

The corner was played too long and knocked out of bounds by Emory for a Rochester throw-in along the left sideline. Pellingra took the throw, He found Milenovici at the edge of the crease in a packed goalmouth and Milenovici headed the ball softly into the right corner of the net at 106:03.

Milenovici made an impact defensively as well. With 4:35 left in the second half, Emory's Patrick Carver, the UAA's top scorer, broke through but Milenovic broke up the play.

The Eagles had two good chances in the first overtime. With 1:58 left, Carver and Patrick McFarland ran a two-on-one break. Carver curled the ball over the defense to McFarland on right wing. His low shot from 12 yards away was blocked by Peacock. With less than a minute less, McFarland tried a long chip from right wing ticketed for the upper left corner. Peacock left his feet to pull it down.
