Bridgette Varin and Tammy Brewster scored six minutes apart to lead the women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory over SUNY Geneseo at Fauver Stadium.
Varin headed in a corner kick from Laura Morrison at 9:40 and Brewster made it 2-0 at 16:01 when she boomed in a 30-yarder from left wing after a lead from Ali Streeter.
Molly Leitch went the distance to earn the shutout. She was not forced to make a save. Laura Castor played the first half in goal for the Blue Knights. She made two saves. Katie Clerkin played the second half. She made two saves as well.
Rochester outshot Geneseo, 22-2, and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks. The Yellowjackets are 6-3. Geneseo is 3-6-1.
