CHICAGO - The women's soccer team lost at 10th-ranked Washington, 3-1, on Friday evening and was edged, 1-0, by Chicago on Sunday.
Rochester is 10-5-2 overall, 3-2-1 in the University Athletic Association. The Yellowjackets play their regular season finale at Case Western Reserve on Saturday.
On Friday night, the Yellowjackets saw the Bears score goals in the 58th and 69th minutes to snap a 1-1 tie. The win pushed Washington into first place in the UAA standings. Rochester's game started late because the men's game played through two overtimes, ending in a 1-1 tie.
Against Chicago, the Maroons applied consistent pressure and marked tightly, not allowing the Yellowjackets to get free for shots. Rochester took eight shots. Chicago took 17.
The game's only goal came at 35:04 when Claire Gill headed home a free kick from Amanda Catalano.
