PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Sara Goico scored five minutes into the match and the Yellowjacket defense made it stand up in a 1-0 women's soccer victory over Carnegie Mellon University.
Goico lobbed the ball into the net after a cross from Laura Bojko. It was her third goal of the season and came at 5:02.
Rochester held a 15-2 shot advantage, 10-0 in shots on goal. The Yellowjackets earned seven corner kicks to none for CMU.
Celeste Hornbach went the distance to pick up the shutout win. Rochester is 9-2-2 overall, 2-1-0 in the UAA.
Anya Rosen made nine saves for Carnegie Mellon. The tartans are 5-5-2 overall, 0-3-0 in the UAA.
