PITTSFORD, N.Y. - Laura Bojko and Mae Butler scored goals as the women's soccer team defeated Nazareth College, 2-1, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets built a 2-0 lead before Nazareth broke through for a goal with less than six minutes to play. Rochester improved to 10-3-2. Nazareth is 9-5-1.
Bojko put Rochester ahead, 1-0, at 9:56. A Butler corner kick eventually found its way to Rood and she got the ball to Bojko for the score.
Just past the midway point of the second half, Butler doubled the lead. Erin Carballo assisted, with the goal coming at 69:01.
The Nazareth goal was scored at 84:34 by Kelly Finn, assisted by Kaylee Benz.
Celeste Hornbach made two saves in goal to pick up the Yellowjacket win. Hillary Simon made seven saves for Nazareth.
Rochester outshot the Golden Flyers, 12-6, and held a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks.
