GENESEO, N.Y. - Bridgette Varin and Ellen Coleman scored two goals apiece to lead the women's soccer team to a 4-1 victory over SUNY Geneseo on Wednesday afternoon.
The second and third goals were scored four minutes apart - and from the same distance and style. At 14:35, a chip from Ross found Varin six yards out and she headed it into the goal. At 18:48, Butler's pass set up Coleman for a six-yarder header and a 3-0 lead.
Rochester held a 20-7 edge on shots and had six corner kicks to none for Geneseo.
The Yellowjackets, ranked tenth in the current Division III poll, are 8-1-2 overall. Geneseo is 5-5-1.
