PITTSFORD, N.Y. - Host Nazareth College scored 11 minutes into the second half and posted a 1-0 victory over the University of Rochester in field hockey on Tuesday.
Kristen McIntyre converted a pass from Sara Heron at 46:13. Nazareth goaltender Kelsey Evans had two saves for the shutout, Nazareth's first win of the season.
Danielle Pearson made four saves for the Yellowjackets. Rochester is 3-2.
The Yellowjackets had their fair share of play in the circle. Rochester had 16 penalty corners to six for Nazareth, including a 9-2 advantage in the second half.
Rochester is home on Saturday evening at 7 to face Utica College.
