WALTHAM, Mass – J.J. Dennstedt and Scott Cady scored goals in the latter stages of the second half to rally the University of Rochester to a 2-1 men's soccer victory over Brandeis University. The Yellowjackets improved to 8-0-2 overall, 2-0-0 in the University Athletic Association. Brandeis is 4-5-1 overall, 1-1-0 in the UAA.
Phil Proud set up both goals for Rochester. At 69:43, he drove the ball forward to Dennstedt who scored from 20 yards away to tie the score. At 81:32, his free kick from 35 yards out was headed home by Cady. It was Dennstedt's sixth goal of the year and the fifth goal this season for Cady.
Michael Peacock made four saves in goal for Rochester. Matt Lynch made seven saves for Brandeis.
Alexander Farr gave the Judges a 1-0 lead at 23:34. Matt Peabody pushed the ball through traffic to send Farr in one-on-one with Peacock.
