ST. LOUIS - For the second time this season, Chris Blivin scored a late goal - and this one carried Rochester past Washington University in men's soccer.
Blivin capitalized on a misplay by the Washington goalkeeper and scored into an open net at 82:41. Back in September, he scored in the dying minutes of the match to give Rochester a 1-0 win over St. John Fisher College at Fauver Stadium.
The win bosted Rochester's record to 9-1-2 overall, 3-1-0 in the UAA. The Yellowjackets trail unbeaten Carnegie Mellon (4-0) in the UAA standings. Washington is 8-3-3 overall, 2-2 in the UAA.
Rochester held a 14-6 edge in shots and an 11-2 bulge in corner kicks. Michael Peacock made one save to earn the shutout. John Smelcer had two saves for Washington.
