The University of Rochester men's cross country team finished in sixth place in team competition at the 2009 UAA Cross Country Championship held in Cleveland, Ohio.
Brian Lang was the Yellowjackets top finisher, completing the 8K race in 26:35.34 (seventh place). He was 30 seconds behind the winner, NYU's Zach Maher.
James Vavra finished in 20th place with a time of 27:10.31. Dan Lane (27:15.74), Jonathan Pinto (27:38.83) and Jason Zayac (28:33.49) round out Rochester's top five finishers. Lane finished in 24th place, Pinto finished in 31st place (scored in 30th), and Zayac finished in 58th overall (scored in 51st).
As a team, Rochester finished with 132 points, ahead of the University of Chicago and Case Western Reserve. NYU won the meet with 41 points.
