STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Rochester earned its seventh shutout of the men's soccer season in a 0-0 double overtime tie with New York University in the UAA opener for both teams.

The Yellowjackets are 6-0-3 overall, 0-0-1 in the UAA. NYU is 5-2-2 overall, 0-0-1 in the UAA. Rochester held a 15-9 advantage in shots and took two corner kicks to none for the Violets.

Scott Garfing made one save in the Rochester net. Matt Stieve made 10 saves for NYU.
