UNION, N.J. - Chris Blivin and Jimmy Parrinello each scored a goal as Rochester defeated Kean University, 2-0, in men's soccer on Sunday afternoon.
Mike Moranz made six saves to pick up the shutout for Rochester. The Yellowjackets are 8-1-5 overall. Kean is 8-9-2.
Blivin gave Rochester an early lead, scoring off a pass from Tom Sorrentino at 6:11. Parrinello capitalized on a misthrow by the Kean goalkeeper and drove home an insurance goal at 67:34.
Rochester outshot Kean, 20-12, and earned seven corner kicks to three for Kean. Tyler Callahan made seven saves for Kean.
Rochester returns to UAA play next weekend, visiting Emory University on Friday and Carnegie Mellon on Sunday. The Yellowjackets close out the regular season with their home finale on November 6 vs. Case Western Reserve University.
