Nikki Haskins scored two goals 12 minutes apart in the second half as Hamilton College defeated the University of Rochester, 4-2, in field hockey at Edwin Fauver Stadium.
The goals from Haskins snapped a 2-2 tie and kept the Continentals unbeaten in Liberty League play. Hamilton is 5-0 in the Liberty League, 8-1 overall. Rochester is 4-7 overall, 1-4 in the Liberty League.
Mary Lancaster had one goal and two assists for Hamilton. Colleen Callaghan had one goal and was denied a second when Rochester's Ali Hamlin made a defensive save just 44 seconds into the second half.
Allison Beardsley assisted on both Rochester goals. At 3:23, she pushed the ball into the right side of the slot and Shelby Hall tucked it past Molly Brooks for a 1-0 Rochester lead. With the Yellowjackets trailing, 2-1, she put the ball in front and Alexis Vangellow tipped it high into the net to equalize.
Brooks finished with four saves for the Continentals. Madison Wagner made four saves for the Yellowjackets.
