CLERMONT, Fla. - Rochester jumped ahead early and went on to a 5-3 softball victory over the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Sunday afternoon.

Kim Grimes was 2 for 2 with two runs scored and an RBI. The Yellowjackets found different ways to score their runs.

Lindsay Macaluso led off with a single in the bottom of the first. After Katie McLean struck out, Erin Clark sacrificed Macaluso to second. Grimes singled home the run.

In the fourth inning, Brittany Hylen drew a bases-loaded walk, forcing home Clark with another run. Grimes doubled in the sixth and came around to score on Juliana Nicholson's double.

Sara Hutchinson picked up the win. She allowed seven hits, walked one, and struck out six.
