PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Three different players scored goals as the University of Rochester opened the men's soccer season with a 3-0 victory at St. John Fisher on Wednesday evening.

Robert Eberhardt, Chris Blivin, and Daniel Battelle provided the Yellowjacket goals. Sean Coyne and Josh Richards had assists.

Scott Garfing played the first 79:34 in goal. He made one save. Mike Moranz played the last 10:26 to complete the shutout. Robert Wiegand made six saves in 90 minutes for the Cardinals.

Coyne crossed the ball from right wing and Eberhardt turned it home for a 1-0 lead before the game was six minutes old. Blivin made it 2-0 two minutes into the second half with Richards picking up the assist.

With just under 20 minutes to play, Battelle hit a high shot that bounced on the turf and caromed into the Fisher goal.
