Men's Soccer Shuts Out Adrian in FC

A large crowd filled Fauver Stadium for an entertaining 2-0 men's soccer victory over Adrian College in the Flower City Classic.

Rochester improved to 2-0. Adrian is 0-1. On Sunday, the Yellowjackets will play SUNY Oneonta at 4:30 pm in the round robin event. Adrian will play St. John Fisher at 7 pm.

Robert Eberhardt and Chris Blivin scored the Yellowjacket goals. Eberhardt put Rochester ahead at 18:33. The Yellowjackets earned a free kick outside the area on the right side. Jimmy Parrinello chipped the ball into the area and Eberhardt ran to the back post to volley it into the net.

Ten minutes into the second half, Eberhardt found Blivin on the right side of the crease and he re-directed it into the left side of the net.

Rochester held a 23-3 advantage in shots and an 8-1 edge in corners. Adrian's Alex Pvalika made three saves for the Bulldogs. Mike Moranz made his first varsity start for Rochester. He played 82:24, replaced by Alex Sandler for the final 7:36.
