Yellowjackets unable to convert on a good number of opportunities as they settle for a 1-1 double overtime tie with cross town rival, the Rochester Institute of Technology on Thursday night at home.
The Tigers only goal came on an unassisted goal by junior Kimi Sisti, eight-yards out from the center of the box. Rochester's Ellen Coleman would comeback with 20 minutes remaining in the second half to tie the game at one. She received a pass down the left side of the field from fellow teammate Rachel Wesley and would go the distance to score on the far side of the net.
Both Coleman and Bridgette Varin led the Yellowjackets with nine shots each as Rochester outshot the Tigers 35 to 10 (13 to 6 shots on goal). Rochester held 11-3 edge in corner kicks with seven of them coming in the first half.
Tigers'(6-1-1) junior goalkeeper Ashley Valenti tallied 12 saves between the posts and Rochester's (5-2-1) Bridget Lang registered five saves, as both goalies played a full 110 minutes.
The Yellowjackets return to action at home at 4:30 pm on the 29th against William Smith College.
