WILLIAMSPORT, PA - Rochester erupted for five goals - its highest single-game total in two years - and the Yellowjackets went on to a 5-2 victory over Lycoming College.
Sean Coyne scored the first two, both froim passes by Tom Sorrentino. Josh Richards made it 3-0 just after halftime. Jimmy Parrinello and Misha Carrel-Thomas closed it out when Lycoming got within 3-2 midway through the second half.
Rochester improved to 5-0-3. Lycoming is 4-5. It is the first time this season Lycoming has lost two in a row.
Sorrentino's corner kick in the 15th minute was banged around in the box before Coyne slotted it home for his first goal. Six minutes later, Sorrentino's throw-in found Coyne and he directed it into the lower right hand corner. Richards scored on a breakaway into the low right corner at 52:45.
Lycoming fought back. Matt Snively pulled back two goals - the first at 58:24 off a pass from Dominick Dorsey. The second came at 70:04 when he scored after a corner kick from Jimmy Deasel.
Parrinello answered almost immediately, scored into the low left corner from Max Eberhardt's pass at 71:11. Carrel-Thomas completed the scoring with a penalty kick at 80:04.
Scott Garfing made four saves and allowed both Lycoming scores in the Rochester net. Lycoming keeper James Quinn made six saves in his 90 minutes.
Rochester outshot the hosts, 27-8, 11-6 in shots on goal. The Yellowjackets have five corner kicks to three for Lycoming.
