Emory rode a late first half goal and some sound midfield play to a 1-0 victory over Rochester on senior day for women's soccer at Edwin Fauver Stadium.
The Eagle defense allowed only two shots at goal by Rochester in the last 45 minutes. The second period was marked by a paucity of opportunities each way.
Rochester is 7-5 overall, 2-2 in the UAA. The Yellowjackets play at St. John Fisher on Saturday, then finish with three straight road games, visiting Washington, Chicago, and Case. Emory is11-0-2, 3-0-1 in the UAA.

In the second half, Grace Van der Ven tried a free kick from right wing for the Yellowjackets. It rose just over the crossbar at the juncture of the left post 15 minutes into the period.
