CHICAGO - The University of Chicago, ranked number 23 in the current NSCAA Division III poll, scored midway through the first half and posted a 1-0 victory over Rochester in a University Athletic Association women's soccer match.
Micaela Harms converted off a pass from Sara Kwan at 25:19 for the Maroons (9-5-2 overall, 2-2-2 UAA). Rochester is 8-7 overall, 2-4 in the UAA.
Allison Bernstein made two saves in 90 minutes for the Yellowjackets. Chicago's Emma Gormley made three stops. Chicago held a 12-6 edge in shots and a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Next weekend, Rochester plays at Case Western Reserve University. The Spartans are 4-2 in the UAA, tied with Washington for second place in the UAA standings. Chicago hosts Washington.
