CANTON, N.Y. – Chris Bickford and Thomas Hayes scored touchdowns two minutes apart late in the fourth quarter as Rochester rallied for a 16-13 victory over St. Lawrence University. Bickford scored on a one-yard run to end a short drive with 6:20 remaining. Hayes broke free on and 82-yard catch-and-run pass from Dean Kennedy with 4:05 left.

Following the Hayes touchdown, St. Lawrence started at its own 20. Bill Campi sacked Zach Migliore for a five yard loss. Migliore then ran for 14 yards and seven yards on consecutive plays, giving the Saints a first down at their onw 36. His next pass was intercepted by Rochester's Jordan Honjiyo at the 40.

Bickford made one more key run. Rochester faced 4th-and-2 at the SLU 32 with 1:37 remaining. He plunged for a two-yard gain to give the Yellowjackets a first down and they knelt with the snap twice to end the game.

The win gives Rochester a 4-4 overall record, 3-2 in the Liberty League. St. Lawrence is 2-6 overall, 1-4 in the Liberty League.

Rochester rushed for 96 yards and passed for 218 more to total 314. Byron Saggese gained 40 yards on 15 carries. Kennedy had 37 yards on 12 carries. Bickford rushed three times for six yards.

Kennedy completed 9 of 27 passes for 218 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Trevor Saunders of SLU returned a pick 12 yards for a TD with 5:10 left in the first quarter. That gave the Saints a 6-0 lead.

Alex Antonucci kicked a 25-yard field goal midway through the second quarter. It came three plays after Kennedy and Hayes hooked up for a 62-yard pass play. Hayes caught two passes for 144 yards.

Ethan Sutton caught a 25-yard TD pass from Migliore with 13:26 left in the game. It completed a nine-play, 80-yard drive and put the Saints in front, 13-3.

Migliore completed 7 of 13 throws for 73 yards with one TD and one interception. He was sacked five times, twice by Tony Ortega. Campi had one sack and shared one with Spencer Miller. St. Lawrence totaled 164 yards in offense – 88 rushing (61 by Marcus Washington) and 76 passing.

After the TD pass to Sutton, Rochester drove just over midfield where Kennedy's deep pass was intercepted by Saunders at the 8. As he tried to avoid tacklers, he was brought down at the 4.  When the Saints couldn't move, Sutton punted and Willie Roberson returned it four yards to the SLU 33.

Kennedy found Roberson for 27 yards down to the 6 on first down. Saggese ran to the 4. Kennedy's pass for Hayes was incomplete. After a timeout, Bickford rushed for three yards to the one and on fourth goal, he went into the middle for the touchdown. Antonucci's PAT was good, bringing Rochester within 13-10.

The Saints went three-and-out and a punt put Rochester at its own 14 with 5:02 left. Kennedy hit Shaquill McCullers for a four-yard gain to the 18. His second down pass was incomplete. On third down, he and Hayes connected for the 82-yard touchdown strike. The Yellowjackets were whistled for a false start on the PAT. Antonucci's kick from the eight-yard line was blocked by Oraene Morgan.
