GENEVA, NY-The University of Rochester fell 2-1 to the 10th ranked Hobart Statesmen after an early second half goal on Saturday.
Rochester (4-2) got the scoring started in the 30th minute of the game with sophomore
Max Fan chipping a shot over the goalkeeper. The goal was Fan's second of the season with an assist being credited to Brian Knouse.
Hobart (6-0) then tied the score at one with a goal from senior Tommy Hayes in the 37th minute. The assist went to Ian McGarty.
The game remained tied for the remainder of the first half, but then the Statesmen got off to a quick start in the second half scoring only 63 seconds in on a bicycle kick goal by senior defender Lukas Petersen. The goal was his second of the year with Evan Grey earning the assist.

Scott Garfing for Rochester who made six saves and Charlie Hale for Hobart who made seven saves.
UR next plays Lycoming at home on Saturday (7 pm).
