Twenty-five individuals who helped the University of Rochester achieve success in men's and women's soccer have been named to the University Athletic Association's Silver Anniversary teams.

The UAA began in the 1987-88 academic year. Players were selected through the 2011-12 academic year. Players were chosen to the Silver Anniversary Team if they met one of two criteria: (1) athletes who were named as Player of the Year; (2) athletes who earned a minimum of five points for All-UAA selection. Athletes named First Team All-UAA received two points. Athletes named Second Team All-UAA received one point.

Seventeen women and eight men represent Rochester on the team. Elizabeth 'Libbie' Tobin  '94 and Kris VanderPlaat '97 won the UAA's Women's Player of the Year Award in consecutive seasons – Tobin in 1992 and 1993, VanderPlaat in 1995 and 1996. For the men, Nathan Micklos '06 won the UAA Player of the Year Award in 2004 and 2005.

Eleven Rochester women won Player of the Year awards. Rochester players captured that honor for seven straight years, 1987-1993 and nine times in a ten-year span (1995, 1996). The women who won Player of the Year honors for the Yellowjackets are Mary Knoll (1987), Lisa Caraccilo (1988), Martha Winter (1989), Cherise Galasso (1990), Megan Hanushek (1991), Tobin (1992 and 1993), Andrea Havemann (1993 with Tobin), VanderPlatt (1995, 1996), Jennifer Seferiadis (2001), Mary Walsh (2005), and Ellen Coleman (2010).

Four men were named as UAA Player of the Year including current head coach Chris Apple. He was honored in 1990. The others were Jason Walker in 1995, Kirk Dietrich in 1997, and Micklos in 2004 and 2005.

Coleman and current women's assistant coach Ashley VanVechten '08 were the only two Yellowjackets to earn First Team All-UAA honors in each of their four seasons. Alison Collins '04 was a three-time honoree as First Team All-UAA.

The other members of the women's Silver Anniversary Team from Rochester are Lisa Allen '97, Lisa Fischer '98, Amy Kelmenson '03, and Bridgette Varin '11.

In addition to the four Player of the Year honorees, four other men were named to the Silver Anniversary team: Jon Plezia '96, Emeke Iheme '98, Nick Mikolenko '08, and Michael Peacock '10. Mikolenko and Peacock were First Team honorees for three straight years.
