SAHLEN'S STADIUM- Sophomore Alex Swanger broke free and beat the Rochester Institute of Technology goal keeper in the 30th minute to lead the University of Rochester men's soccer team to a 1-0 win in the Hillside Community Shield Match in downtown Rochester Tuesday night.
 
The match, played at Sahlen's Stadium, home to the USL Rochester Rhinos was a community gathering to benefit the Hillside Family of Agencies.
 
RIT (3-2) outshot the Yellowjackets (4-1) by a 14-3 margin but Swanger's goal in the 30th minute was the lone tally on the night.  UR goalie at Scott Garfing made three saves in net to earn his third shutout of the season.
 
Swanger and teammate Max Fan were the only UR players to generate shots while eight different Tigers put together a shot at the goal.
