WILLIAMSPORT, Pa – Rochester found its scoring touch, netting a pair of goals in each half, and went on to a 4-1 men's soccer victory over Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon.
The Yellowjackets improved to 5-2 overall. Lycoming is 3-3-1.
Midway through the first half,
Nick Pastore collected a giveaway by Lycoming and scored into the lower left hand corner of the net for a 1-0 Rochester lead.
Andrew Greenway made it 2-0 in the 44
th minute. His shot deflected off the Lycoming goalkeeper and into the upper left hand corner.
Jack Thesing made it 3-0 at 67:41.
Max Fan chipped a ball into the area from 25 yards away and Thesing headed it into the upper left hand corner. Lycoming pulled a goal back at 72:11 when Nick Neverman hit a rising shot from 15 yards out.
Jakob Seidlitz completed the scoring at 77:46, driving the ball to the top right corner of the goal.
Rochester outshot Lycoming, 20-6, 10-2 in shots on goal.
Scott Garfing made one save and allowed one goal in 79:01. He faced all six Lycoming shots.
Mike Moranz played the final 10:59 without facing a shot.
